This is not an umbrella

TKNL

Programming of the permanent exhibition “This is not an umbrella” for the Montreal Biosphere - Espace pour la vie. It showcases the influence of the weather on everything around us and the science behind the weather.

The project is composed of two distinct parts. In the first part, the 3 interactive touch screens displays information in a classic way, but presented elegantly with a concern for respect for design and subtle and well-executed animations.

The second part is undoubtedly the most exciting: it involves a large tactile table that is used to alter the planet's climate by controlling solar radiation and greenhouse gases. Four people can use the table simultaneously. Powered by from-top projection, the table is made up of 4 tactile films (*touchfoil*) which allows for excellent response time and high precision.

The programming is based on web technologies which we've once again been pushed to their limits in order to offer an unforgettable experience to visitors to the exhibition.
