The interactive applications developed for the Montreal's Biosphère are connected to RFID readers and a database, allowing the visitor to have a personalized experience built throughout their visit.
Upon arrival, the user is invited to personalize an avatar which will accompany them during their journey. By consulting “discovery” stations, the user unlocks “exploration notebooks” in which the knowledge acquired will be challenged.
Thanks to development with web-based technologies and the use of Electron, the application is deployed on Raspberry Pi computers in order to limit hardware costs. Real-time connection to RFID readers is in real time using MQTT.
